Relationships

A Happier, Healthier Partnership

Being in a relationship is sometimes hard work. The decision to work things out in therapy together can feel like a very big step. It involves admitting that things are not going the way you hoped in your partnership, which is often tough to do and sometimes is scary to admit.

In a relationship therapy session, we may discuss:

  • Trust that has been broken

  • Ways to get unstuck or out of a rut

  • Repetitive arguments and patterns of communication that don’t allow you to fully express yourselves

  • You have something you want your significant other to know, but you haven’t been able to tell them.

  • Behaviors that make one or both of you want to leave

  • A traumatic experience that seems to have changed the way you connect with others

  • Lost emotional or physical intimacy

For those willing to commit to the process, relationship therapy may be able to remind them why they fell in love and to help resolve conflicts or feelings of loneliness.
